    • Notes from John Stanhope: Agnes Thomson was born at Mill of Mathers on 25 February and baptized 7 March 1813 at Saint Cyrus, Kincardineshire . She was the second child of James Thomson, a miller, and Jean Smith. This couple were married at Fordoun 22 December 1810. In 1881 Agnes was living alone as an "annuitant" at Margaret Place, Old Machar, Aberdeen . She died 3 January 1905 at East Peterculter/Woodbank (her father-in-law Alexander's tombstone6, grave 93 p.20, says "Woodend Cottage Cults).
